Meta WhatsApp Cloud API

Connect this clinic app to Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API. Start with Meta’s test number, verify the webhook, then switch to your production business number.

  1. Create a Meta app and add the WhatsApp product. Get started guide
  2. Test: In Meta → WhatsApp → API Setup, generate a temporary access token, note the Phone Number ID and WhatsApp Business Account ID, and send the hello_world test message.
  3. Paste those values into the form below. Copy this app’s Callback URL and Verify token into Meta → WhatsApp → Configuration, then subscribe to the messages field. Webhook docs
  4. Click Verify and save in Meta. This page’s webhook badge should flip to verified.
  5. Deploy your number: add a real business phone in Meta, update Phone Number ID here, create a System User permanent token (replace the temporary token), and keep App Secret set for signature checks.

The webhook URL must be public HTTPS. Localhost needs a tunnel (for example ngrok). Prefer a System User permanent token before production traffic. Never share App Secret or access tokens.
